Its origin goes back to a passage in the Koran in which Allah asks the prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice Ishmael, his only son, as an act of obedience to God. He decided\u00a0to do His will,\u00a0but just before\u00a0making it happen Allah sent a lamb to be sacrificed in place of Ishmael. <strong>This sacred day commemorates the submission of the prophet and the clemency of God.<\/strong> So, obedience to Allah has a\u00a0great significance for those who celebrate this feast!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #1195ff;\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW200225167 BCX4\" lang=\"ES-ES\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW200225167 BCX4\">Celebration\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW200225167 BCX4\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Its origin gives us a clue about how\u00a0the Muslim community celebrates this feast: Muslim families celebrate this day with the sacrifice of a lamb! Every year, Eid al-Adha\u00a0begins by going to the mosques to pray and then, after dawn,\u00a0the lamb is sacrificed.
