From Africa to Spain: this is the story of Rachid

Table of contents

We are known for having the best customer service in the industry and we owe that to our fantastic Customer Support team. Rachid has been part of this department for 16 years and he has become an essential and beloved part of the Moneytrans family. So it’s no wonder that his experience, his positivism and his good work have marked our history. This is his!

It was in the summer of 1992 when I decided to move to Spain to study. Two years later, my life changed 180º when I had a car accident that left me paralyzed. That didn’t stop me from keeping fighting with a lot of willpower and a positive attitude.

In October 2002, I received a call from someone I will never forget, Don Miguel, and for whom I will always be grateful. Don Miguel Sánchez Apellániz gave me the opportunity to join a company where I was welcomed with open arms by the entire team.

“It has been a wonderful time, one in which I learned a great deal about the world of remittances.”

In August 2011, I received an irrefutable offer from Moneytrans to take care of relations with correspondents on the African continent and customer service using our services from France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, UK and Holland to send money to Africa (Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast,…). I met my current colleagues from the African Customer Service and the rest of the Moneytrans team. Today we are one big family. We continue to grow together, our department has evolved a lot thanks to the accumulated experience, and the languages we handle (we handle calls in Arabic, French, Spanish, or English).

“Today we are one big family. We keep growing together.”

What I like most about our Moneytrans company is the simplicity and good work of each one.Together we have achieved and will keep on achieving great goals; with more than 5,000,000,000 clients, we have become an indispensable player in the world of remittances and particularly in Africa where we are recognized as the number 1 choice to send money to Morocco, Ghana or Nigeria.

As for my homeland, Morocco, I travel there once or twice a year and we take the opportunity to see the whole family and especially my mother, who is the one I miss the most; her food, her precious advice and sometimes even her scolding.

“My background and history help me to empathize and better serve our customers who are most important to me and Moneytrans.”
